  15.     LaserWriter 6.0 has been shipping since April.  It is on the 32-bit
  16. QuickDraw disks, and even if you don't have or want true 32-bit color, you
  17. should upgrade to the new LaserWriter driver.  It is CONSIDERABLY faster than
  18. the 5.2 version, especially on NTXs.

  20.     If you were at the Developer's Conference, the 32-bit QuickDraw disks were
  21. given out there.  If not, it is on AppleLink in the Developer's Folder, or you
  22. can get it free from any dealer.

  24.     I would never have posted a solution that relied on unreleased, Apple-only
  25. software, for exactly the reasons you outlined.

  27.     LaserWriter 6.0 supports any Postscript device.  Unfortunately, I have
  28. never used the non-Postscript devices you mentioned (image writers and and
  29. Apple's Quick Draw laser printer).
